Ragna TenEyck

With a practice focused primarily on estate planning, Ragna TenEyck believes that a client seeking the long-term management and eventual distribution of their estate deserves the highest quality of legal representation. She has a Master degree in Taxation and specializes in assisting clients with tax options to maximize wealth retention for succession planning. She says “my main objective is to educate my clients about the consequences of their current situation and offer counsel on how to meet their future goals.” In the course of her practice, she routinely prepares complex estate plans, including legacy trusts. Her work also encompasses establishment of private foundations, charitable remainder trusts, limited liability companies, family limited liability companies and successor planning. She works closely with other professional advisors to maximize client wealth and achieve personal and professional objectives.

A complimentary area of expertise includes assisting clients with formation of non-profit corporations and private foundations. Ragna can provide knowledgeable counsel on the tax benefits of private foundations that serve a charitable purpose while providing for a family legacy.

Always one with uncommon interests, Ragna has been a licensed private airplane pilot since she was 15 years old. Her personal interest in flying led her to serve as corporate counsel for the Northwest Insurance Group, Aviation Insurance Brokerage and Risk Management Company since 2004. Further, she has provided legal services to private and municipal airports, flying clubs and medical air transport companies.

Previously, she was Academic Administrator for a private college where she oversaw the general education and legal studies program. Much like a law office, she says the college has a fast-paced environment that values responsibility, ethics and professional development; values that Ragna continues to demonstrate in her legal practice and in her respect for her clients.

In her leisure, Ragna spends time travelling to various ice skating competitions throughout the United States as she manages her nationally ranked son’s ice dancing career. In addition, Ragna’s has served on the Board of Directors for the Oregon International Dyslexia Association and continues to serve that community today as an advocate for children with learning differences.
