Robert B. Lowry
Bob Lowry has throughout his practice prosecuted and defended a wide variety of environmental litigation matters, including through trial, in state and federal courts. His experience includes an array of industrial and mining-relation soil, groundwater, surface water, and air contamination issues under state and federal environmental superfund laws, and related toxic tort litigation arising from chemical exposure. He has also frequently defended and advised clients in matters involving the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, the Washington Department of Ecology, and the federal Environmental Protection Agency. He also provides environmental advice related to business transactions and regulatory compliance. Exemplary environmental clients have included HSBC banking entities, Frito-Lay, Inc., and BNSF Railway Company.
During his 26-year litigation practice, Bob has prosecuted and defended a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including through trial and appeal, in various state and federal courts, involving diverse transactional, commercial lending, securities, pharmaceutical and business tort issues. He has recognized expertise in bringing and defending fraud and civil racketeering claims. His cases have included Japanese and Canadian clients and cross-border issues. Clients have included Canaccord Capital Corporation, Pfizer, Inc., Industrial Indemnity Financial Corp., Marine Midland Bank, Northern Telecom, Concord Capital Corporation and BNSF Railway Company. He was responsible for the assertion of racketeering claims in the Capital Consultants pension fraud matter.
