John Mayer

John Mayer is a member of the firm’s litigation department. Prior to joining Kell Alterman, John worked as an attorney at a small law firm focused on civil litigation for Spanish speaking clients.

John graduated magna cum laude from Lewis and Clark Law School, where he served as a Lead Article Editor on the Lewis and Clark Law Review. During law school, John worked as an intern for Oregon Supreme Court Justice Meghan A. Flynn, a law clerk for the Federal Public Defender, an intern with the Columbia River Gorge Commission, and other roles. He also won first place in the 2021 Davis Wright Tremaine LLP International Law Writing Competition for his article on International Investment Law, which will be published in the Lewis and Clark Law Review in 2022.

Before attending law school, John lived in China and Vietnam for several years, teaching English as a second language to adults and college students. In his free time, John likes to travel, read, and spend time outdoors.
